Subjective Evaluation by Volunteers
While scientific measurement and assessment of a product is the cornerstone of any skincare study, we also wanted to receive feedback from the volunteers and determine how they liked using the product over the course of 28 days. This subjective evaluation also helped us generalize our findings for the public.
One simple question was asked to summarize the entire study –
‘In a general way, how do you evaluate the test product?’. The answers to this question had five simple options – very good, good, fair, bad and very bad. The responses received were gratifying. Thirty-Five % of the volunteers rated the Dr Kinsella CBD Facial Serum as ‘very good’. Other than this, 55% of volunteers rated the facial serum as ‘good’ and 10% rated it as ‘fair’. No responses for ‘bad’ and ‘very bad’ were received. This indicates a solid acceptability of the facial serum and shows signs of future usage by the volunteers.

The four key areas of findings were – wrinkle reduction, even skin tone and depigmentation, moisturization and hydration and better skin tolerance.
Wrinkle Reduction
The primary goal of this study was to ascertain the potency of the Dr Kinsella CBD Facial Serum in reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Post the 28 days course of facial serum application, 90% and 95% of the subjects considered that the appearance of their fine lines and wrinkles had improved. After 28 days of facial serum application, 85% of the female volunteers recorded that their skin felt better moisturized and hydrated. When asked to rate the product on a scale, 90% of volunteers marked the Dr Kinsella CBD Facial Serum as ‘good’ or ‘very good’. This was an important aspect in determining not just the acceptability of the CBD-based facial product but also its future continued usage.
Better skin tolerance
Before the study was begun, scores were assigned to all volunteers that determined their skin tolerance. During and after the course of the study, no changes in these scores were recorded. This means that the skin of all volunteers had superb skin tolerance to the Dr Kinsella CBD Facial Serum. There were no signs of skin reaction or sensitivity. No volunteers mentioned any discomfort, inflammation, redness or irritation on their skin while the study was underway.
